Plants

South facing - about 12' deep and 75' across.A mature Scots pine stands at each end. In spring aubretia and spring bulbs add colour

In early summer floribundas and HT roses flower better here than in the rest of the garden in spite of, or even because of, the shade from the forest sized lime trees across the lane. Hybrid Musk roses hide an east facing side fence. A dry August and early September can be a problem in this part of the garden.
In Autumn is the time for lavatera and Pyracantha.

A very early cultivar of primrose and snowdrops, and Garrya Elliptica provide winter interest although I think the garden in winter looks at its best in snow.
