Margaret's Garden Journal for December 2008

	The homegrown conifer I used as a Christmass tree last year died in the summer. I think this was because we weren't able to dig it up with enough roots. This year I decided to prune the Beauty Pine which was overshadowing the lawn, and ise the cut branches to replace the traditional tree. The branches proved too tall for the conservatory so we had to shorten them.
	By the time the grandchildren and great granchildren had straightened the tree, though, I was very happy with the result.
