Margaret's Garden Journal for February 2007

birch in low sun

The birch glows in low winter sun

February has opened cold but sunny. Bad frosts at night but very pleasant days. The snow drops are better than ever this month and the pale primroses in the front garden have shown up better. The February Gold daffodils came out in February.
A sharp spell of cold weather killed off the agrimanthemums at last. All the first sowings of broad beans are through.
