May 1999

The pond cleared this month. Now |I can see the fish. The tadpoles look happy but no legs yet . I bought a new wooden bench and placed it at the end of the pond, now my favourite place for sitting in.

This was a blue and purple month.   Forget-me-nots continued to turn the back garden into a sea of blue.  The front garden was dominated by aubretia and the ceonothus over the porch

The Spanish broom was still the star of the back garden.

The weigelia had a strong role in the front garden
