Southern Goa 2008 - The Market in February

At first sight apart from its size, roughly three times larger than ours, the market is very much like Leicester's fifty years ago, before the council installed a permanent roof
Even today though Leicester Market doesn't have chillies and watermelons in these quantities.
Nor gourds, nor hands of bananas like this
Flowers for puja are placed near the entrances and exits for easy access
This scene reassures us we really are in India and not on Cheapside
