Southern Goa 2008 - The Market in February

We stopped at Pondom a town in the centre of Goa, to visit the market.

At first sight apart from its size, roughly three times larger than ours, the market is very much like Leicester's fifty years ago, before the council installed a permanent roof

Even today though Leicester Market doesn't have chillies and watermelons in these quantities.
