ruffled pansy
The hardy and uncomplicated "Universal Pansy" is perhaps the most commonly grown plant in England. The more subtle ruffled pansies, beloved by the Victorians, are not so often seen nowadays but are worth growing for summer display
The repeat flowering pelargoniums are widely called geraniums here in the UK. When I was little these small petalled reliable pelargoniums were, in my memory at least, all scarlet. Now, however there are many shades ranging through white, orange and purple as well as the large petalled showy kind which are great for a short while but do not usually repeat their flowering.
