Transformation of the previous Oil Tank Area

The
old oil tank has now gone and its replacement occupies a less prominent
position at the back of the house. Len has demolished the decrepit shed and used
its timber to create a screen giving the garden greater privacy.
He grows runner beans against one side of the screen and a mixture
of perennials and annuals on the other.
 He
levelled the ground, covering most of it in gravel but created a
firmer base of pink slabs for tables and chairs. He built a brick
barbecue out of washed bricks. |
 Pride
of place however has to go to the fireplace built from broken slab.
When logs burn in it it gives out considerable heat. Len is now looking
for a suitable chimney. |
